In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, Northwest teammates from across all 27 service centers collected water to donate it to those who needed it most. The main need for supplies, water, and essentials was in the Bahamas, which was devastatingly hit by the hurricane. The Northwest Good Deed Team reached out to the Bahamas Consulate General in Atlanta to see if they could accept our donation and get the items to the Bahamian people.

The Bahamas Consulate General welcomed our donation of 300 cases of water, 38 cases of wipes, 570 pounds of dry dog food, and over 200 batteries. When dropping off the donations, the Northwest team found many others dropping off donations and helping in the Consulate’s warehouse.

“I think that was the coolest part… seeing people from all over come together to help,” said Kristen Milligan, Co-President of The Good Deed Team. “It’s the small things that can have such a positive impact. I am so grateful to be a part of a team that wants to come together to help in any way we can.”

If you would like to donate supplies to the people of the Bahamas, you can find more information on how to help at the Bahamas Consulate General in Atlanta’s website. For more information on the Northwest Good Deed Team, click here.
