Northwest Exterminating Co-Hosts First Responders BBQ IN Savannah, GA

Northwest Exterminating Co-Hosts First Responders BBQ IN Savannah, GA

This past Thursday, June 15, 2018, The Northwest Good Deeds Team partnered with local business, Nine Line Apparel, to co-host a Thank You barbecue for the First Responders in the Savannah community.
The Good Deeds team has hosted first responders’ luncheons in the past as a thank you to those that go above and beyond for their communities every day. In addition to the free barbecue and discounted apparel that was available, Nine Line is selling “Savannah PD” shirts. Proceeds will be given to two families of the department’s fallen officers, Officer Anthony Christie and Officer Joey Lupus.
When speaking to the Good Deeds Team co-director Kristen Milligan about how events like this align with Good Deeds mission and the Northwest Mission statement, she said “At Northwest, looking outwards towards the community is what we empower each service center to do. The Good Deeds Team provides the vehicle for each service center to positively impact their communities.” In this case, Missy Mallick, a Northwest teammate and Good Deeds Ambassador for the Savannah service center, did just that. As the daughter of a firefighter and wife of a med evac pilot, Missy saw the need to show just how much the community appreciates all the things that first responders do.
About Good Deeds Team – The Northwest Good Deeds team was formed in 2011, with the sole focus on being active and involved in the communities that we serve. While home pest control services are what we do for a living, we are about people. We service areas in the community that have a real need, places where we can use our time and talents to give back, and to give to people who may have been forgotten.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution Names Northwest Exterminating a Winner of the Atlanta 2018 Top Workplaces Award

Atlanta Journal-Constitution Names Northwest Exterminating a Winner of the Atlanta 2018 Top Workplaces Award

Northwest Exterminating has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey. The anonymous survey measures aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few. The survey is administered through the AJC research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

The Northwest Exterminating team is excited to be awarded this honor again. “We have tried to foster a culture that values relationships, growth and a little bit of fun. At the end of the day, the two most important things to Northwest’s success are our customers and our teammates,” says Stanford Phillips, Northwest Exterminating Co-President. Being a family-operated company for over 60 years, Northwest continues to expand our lists of home services and the areas we service with the help of our teammates.

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”

The Mouse Invades Rollins’ Headquarters – Part of a Collaborative Strategy to Unify Brands Called PROJECT CHEESE

Calling all exterminators! A mouse was spotted at Rollins’ headquarters, and he was looking for more than just cheese.

The Northwest Mouse, along with two unidentified Northwest team members, invaded its parent company’s headquarters late last night. We caught the break-in on video!

According to sources, the three accomplices were carrying out a mission: to prove that creativity, innovation, and the core values of Northwest are still very much alive. Exciting opportunities and adventures are on the horizon for Northwest, and this is sure to be the first of many Northwest “invasions”. The Mouse is out of his house and anyone could be next!

We’re calling it PROJECT CHEESE; a way to establish parent company Rollins as one that supports and empowers its brands to think outside the box, stay true to who they are, push the industry forward, and foster a culture of relationships and goodwill towards fellow competitors. PROJECT CHEESE gives Rollins an opportunity to set themselves apart from other competing “parent” companies by highlighting what makes them different: personality, sense of humor and relatability. Therefore, producing the desire for perspective companies to be a part of something unique with Rollins.

The video is a unique way to reassure the Northwest Team and customers that we will continue to be the creative, innovative and relevant company that they have grown to love and recognize. This fun, lighthearted approach affirms that Rollins will continue to support the Culture and core values of “The Northwest Way”.

PROJECT CHEESE is also an opportunity to unify and create a culture of inclusion amongst the Rollins Family of Brands. The aim is to create a domino effect within the Rollins family via the “Tag your it” mentality – Critter Control plays a prank on Western, Western plays a prank on HomeTeam, so forth and so on. Who’s next?

Northwest Exterminating Ranks #17 in Top 100 Pest Control Companies

We’re proud to announce that Northwest placed 17, an improvement from #20 in 2016, in PCT Magazine’s 16th annual list of top 100 companies in the pest control industry.

PCT’s Top 100 is a yearly listing of the largest companies in the pest control industry based on previous year’s revenues. Moving up the ranks marks an achievement for Northwest as it signifies the companies continued growth over the last several years.

PCT Magazine acknowledged these companies in it’s May issue, attributing the success to strong leadership and dependable team members.

Trace McEuen, VP of Univar, said in the issue’s cover story, “A strong leader needs people they can depend on to guide their business: people who can offer strategy and perspective when a short answer won’t cut it.”

We couldn’t agree more. Thank you to all of our dedicated team members – the Northwest Family – and for the continued support of our customers!
