At Northwest, we believe in putting our Customers First and serving our community with a Servant’s Heart. Recently, our Newnan Service Center provided lunch for the Senoia Police Department, our local first responders!

The day was filled with delicious food, friendly conversations, and heartfelt appreciation. It was a wonderful opportunity for our Newnan team to connect with the first responders who serve and protect our community every day. We believe that fostering strong relationships with our local community is not only a way to say thank you but to also create a sense of unity.

Our teams at Northwest share a common mission – putting customers first and serving our communities with a servant’s heart. Recently, our Columbus service center hosted a First Responder Cookout for the local Columbus Police Department. The team was able to provide burgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, and fun conversations!

Our Northwest teams have actively been involved in hosting First Responder Cookouts across the Southeast since 2017, a cherished initiative we eagerly anticipate each year. We have the privilege of hosting more than 30 cookouts a year, allowing us to express our heartfelt thanks to each local community.

Northwest Exterminating’s Homewood Service Center Collects Food Amid National Hunger Action Month

Driven by a heartfelt desire to make a difference during “National Hunger Action Month,” Northwest’s Homewood, Alabama team came together to collect food for the Community Foodbank of Central Alabama (CFB) throughout the month of September. Homewood teammate Christina G. brought the idea to the table due to her passion for helping those who need it most.

When Christina approached CFB with her plan of gathering donations, she was met with open arms and warm hearts. The CFB team assured the Homewood team that no donation was too small. The response from the Homewood team was extraordinary and they were able to collect over $200 worth of non-perishables.

Homewood Good Deed Team

CFB has been a constant in the Central Alabama area since 1982 and has worked side by side with United Way of Central Alabama and The Greater Birmingham Foundation to stay open. In their early years they focused on feeding those in need of emergency food, but in 2016 they took the bold step to address the root causes of hunger in the area. Since broadening their mission, they have been supplying millions of meals per year to over 230 partner agencies, like shelters, food pantries, and children’s programs in 12 counties across Central Alabama. Northwest Exterminating’s Miami Team Participates in St. Jude Run/Walk

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and our Miami Service Center recently participated in the annual St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital walk/run hosted in Miami, Florida. The commitment to giving back not only reflects our team’s servant’s heart but also their unwavering dedication to good deeds in their community.

Since 2017, the Miami team has been part of the run/walk charity event, demonstrating their dedication to creating a positive impact. The event holds a special place in their hearts and allows them to contribute to the incredible work done by St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Northwest Exterminating’s Newnan Team Provides School Supply Giftbags to Ten Students

Our Newnan Service Center team has always believed in putting our Customers First and carrying a Servant’s Heart in everything they do. To them, it’s not just about providing extraordinary service, it’s also about giving back to the local community in meaningful ways. Recently, the team took on the endeavor to collect school supplies for 10 students at Ruth Hill Elementary in Newnan, GA.

Our extraordinary teammates collected notebooks, coloring pencils, and folders to create a gift bag of school supplies for the students who needed them the most. Northwest teammates understand the importance of education and the impact this will have on these students and their future. Even the smallest of efforts make a big difference!

The Newnan team is proud to be part of a community that values a servant’s heart. We’re excited to see the team serving their community and can’t wait to see what they can achieve next!

Northwest Exterminating Celebrates Teammate Appreciation Day Across Southeast

Northwest Exterminating recently hosted its second annual Teammate Appreciation Day across its 50+ Service Centers! Our teams were able to celebrate in their own way and they had an extraordinary time getting together to recognize all of their achievements!

Each Service Center Manager put together a surprise celebration to honor their teammates for all that they do for each other, for Northwest, and for our communities. Some opted for hosting a 50s themed trivia game, bowling, cook outs, and beach themed celebrations! Teammates also received their yearly Northwest t-shirt. Dedicating a day to truly thank our teammates will continue to be important for our teams, as Northwest wouldn’t be Northwest without our extraordinary people.

Our teams had a great time taking some time to just hang out and show their appreciation for that they’ve accomplished in 2023. We can’t wait to see how they celebrate Teammate Appreciation Day next year!

Northwest Celebrates Back to School Across Multiple Service Centers

Our Northwest Good Deed Team is your school’s biggest fan! Some of our favorite initiatives include local schools across the Southeast. Recently, we had two teams collect school supplies for their local areas. Let’s see what these teams were able to accomplish!

Good Deed Team 2

Our Fort Myers team was able to collect snacks, markers, cleaning supplies, and paper supplies for a local school in their area. They decided to give back to the Cape Academy due to their being a close connection to one of our teammates. We love to see our teams come together to give back!

Likewise, our Realtor and Sales team partnered up to participate in the 6th Annual Kid’s Shop Charity Event held in Buford, Georgia. This event is held to assist foster children in the area with shopping for their own school supplies. Each child is given a $150 gift card and a VIP personal shopper to help them pick out their own supplies and learn to shop on a budget. Our team was able to sponsor and provide backpacks for the event. We can’t wait to see what they do next year!

Monroe Service Center Gathers Supplies for The Northeast Georgia Homeless Veteran’s Shelter

Our Monroe team truly understands what it means to Value People and possess a Servant’s Heart.

Recently, the team was made aware of the need for supplies at the Northeast Georgia Homeless Veteran’s Shelter (NEGHVS), located in Winder, Georgia.

Our team took it upon themselves to collect two vehicles full of supplies, including toilet paper, plastic cutlery, toothpaste, shelf-stable food items, cleaning supplies, and hygienic products.

They spent the entire month of June collecting these items and delivered their donations to the ministry at the beginning of July.

Good Deed Team

The NEGHVS is a 501C (3) non-profit Christian Ministry whose goal is to serve those who served our country.

The goal of the non-profit is to provide shelter, food, life, and job skills in a safe, clean, and Christian environment.

Being the only homeless veterans’ shelter in northeast Georgia, their primary focus is on being a ministry to those who need guidance and shining a light on the hardships that veterans can face after serving their country.

We are grateful for the Monroe team, who continues to make time to discover those who need assistance, no matter how big or small. Our team can’t wait until the next time they can give back!

Savannah Service Center Hosts First Responder Cookout on Hilton Head Island

Our Savannah, GA team is always creating ways for teammates to be involved and make a difference in their community. Recently, they hosted a First Responder Cook Out and invited all fire stations, sheriff’s office, and EMT personnel who service the Beaufort County area.

Northwest Good Deeds Team has been hosting First Responder Cookouts across the Southeast since 2017 and have hosted over 150 cookouts since our start. We look forward to them each summer and fall as our small way of saying thank you to all. The team was pleased with the amazing turn out!

Being able to host these cookouts means so much to our teammates. It’s an honor to be able to show our appreciation to our local first responders for what they do for us daily. Our Savannah teammates enjoyed this opportunity and look forward to the next one they will host. Thank you, Savannah team!
