The Northwest Newnan teammates spent this past Saturday boxing food to be distributed to members of the community at Bridging the Gap.

Bridging the Gap is a non-profit organization based in Coweta County in Georgia. Their mission is to provide assistance to those in need in the community. They aim to do this by leading with food, serving with compassion, and restoring through ministry. This summer, Bridging the Gap was able to serve 383 hot meals and collect 31,412 pounds of food.

Our Newnan teammates participated in a weekly event hosted by Bridging the Gap. Every Saturday from 8-11AM, a drive-up food bank is set up where families can fill out a form to request items they may need for the week.

“It’s really something special when you have a group of people get together to serve the community,” said Brittany, Newnan’s Good Deed Ambassador. “The team enjoyed volunteering together and working with an organization that helps the people in our community.”

This is event is a direct reflection of the mission of the Northwest Good Deed Team; looking into the community in which we serve and recognizing a need. Northwest is grateful to have teammates that take a normal Saturday and turn it into a day of giving, compassion, and coming together.
