Our Savannah office’s annual tradition to bring holiday cheer to the Dwayne and Cynthis Children’s Hospital patients’ rooms continued for the third year. With help from the Northwest Alpharetta and Lawrenceville offices, along with The Good Deed Team, the Savannah teammates were able to decorate the children’s rooms and celebrate the holidays with them.

This event has become a way for our teammates to bring hope and cheer to those in their community during a vulnerable time. In addition to the decorations collected and distributed by teammates, the Savannah team coordinated with a local school where students created holiday cards for the children that would be staying in the hospital over the holidays. The Savannah team also wanted to show their appreciation for all the local staff does year-round, so they made homemade peppermint bark for the nurses’ stations and the emergency department.

The Savannah team’s love for their community has started a tradition that each teammate looks forward to every year. They love spending time with the children, families, and hospital staff and hope their small act of kindness is able to brighten someone’s day. The team is already making plans for what they can do next year and what other opportunities the hospital has for volunteers. We are thankful to have teammates who choose to step outside of their every day to look for ways to make a difference.
