Murfreesboro Service Center Collects Donations for Local School’s Field Day

Murfreesboro Service Center Collects Donations for Local School’s Field Day

Creating lasting relationships within the local community is something that Northwest was founded on. Though our purpose is pest control, we are first and foremost in the people business. When Rockvale Middle School said they needed assistance with their yearly field day, our Murfreesboro Good Deed Team stepped in.

Good Deed Team 1

The team collected over 20 cases of drinks, including water and a variety of soda. This will provide over 600 drinks to the students at Rockvale, making their field day an exciting day filled with hydration and fun!

We are so grateful for an extraordinary team that truly cares about the community and contributes to making a difference and putting our customers first!

Fort Myers, FL Service Center Volunteers at The Talkin’ Monkeys Project

Having the opportunity to volunteer and serve alongside a team who cares and that you enjoy working with makes all the difference!  Recently, our Fort Myers Service Center gave time from their weekend volunteering at a sanctuary for apes and monkeys, known as The Talkin’ Monkeys Project.

The Talkin’ Monkeys Project is a home for apes and monkeys that were abandoned, abused, confiscated by the government, or even formerly used in research. This sanctuary is home to an array of educational programs and internships. The project is exclusively running on donations and volunteer work, relying heavily on the strong partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University’s students, who come to serve, learn, and even work with the network of sanctuaries worldwide.

The Northwest team was able to be a part of a big project that the sanctuary needed support with: A proposed orchard that will eventually sustainably feed the monkeys and apes. The Florida team assisted in clearing the area and planting 24 different trees and bushes. While volunteering, the Northwest team was also able to take a tour of the grounds and even feed the animal residents. It was such an honor to be able to support the Project’s mission and these animals.

The Talkin’ Monkey Project is grateful for the Fort Myers team and all that they did, even gifting the team t-shirts for all their hard work. Northwest is always looking for ways to go above and beyond to honor their customers and the community, especially in ways that our teammates feel passionate about. We are thankful for teammates who give their time to make someone’s day brighter.

Alpharetta Service Center Hosts First Responder Cookout in Roswell

Alpharetta Service Center Hosts First Responder Cookout in Roswell

Our Alpharetta team recently hosted a First Responder Cookout to give back to those who do so much for our community. The team provided the Roswell Police Department burgers, hotdogs, chips, and drinks! Overall, the cookout was a huge success, and a great turnout from our first responders.

Northwest has been hosting First Responder Cookouts across the Southeast since 2017, an initiative we look forward to every year. We have been able to host multiple cookouts this year, with even more on the way!

Having the opportunity to give back to those who have already given so much means a lot to our team. It’s an honor to show a small amount of our appreciation for all they do for us daily.

Lawrenceville GA Northwest Office Supports Local Customer with Yard Maintenace

Lawrenceville GA Northwest Office Supports Local Customer with Yard Maintenace

We are consistently reminded just how much the smallest act can have the biggest impact! Recently, a Lawrenceville teammate noticed a customer’s yard and how it needed a bit of care and attention. The teammate has established a long-term relationship with the customer and knew that caring for this lawn on the customer’s own was incredibly difficult for her. Our teammate brought the concern back to the whole team, and they came together to rake up and care for the customers yard one day after hours.

The service team and Service Center Manager all helped out and had the yard looking great by the end. The customer was thankful for the time and attention paid outside of her usual pest control service. When asked about this small act of kindness and why they went out as a team to support this customer, the Lawrenceville GDT Ambassador said, “Northwest is truly a family. We want our customers to feel like they are family as well.”

To create extraordinary experiences for our customers means noticing the small things and getting to know them personally, not just for the partnership for pest protection but also because our customers are our neighbors and community members. We’re thankful to our Lawrenceville team for taking the time to support this customer and for all they do to keep their eyes open to serve.

First Responder Cookout Hosted in Buford GA by Northwest Exterminating Teammates

First Responder Cookout Hosted in Buford GA by Northwest Exterminating Teammates

The annual Northwest Exterminating First Responder Cookouts are officially in full force! Every year, Northwest offices across the Southeast sponsor a First Responder Cookout in their local area to support our first responders and thank them for all they do to protect us and our communities.

The Buford First Responder Cookout was held recently, and the team had a great time hosting all those that stopped by for a burger and all the fixings. Getting a chance to have lunch and talk together is always appreciated by our team!

Thank you to all first responders who go above and beyond for us daily. We are looking forward to continuing the First Responder Cookout tradition for years to come.
