The team was able to provide a memorable birthday for a 6-year-old foster child through Families 4 Families. They collected a remote-control car, a Lego® set, an art set, fidget poppers, hot wheel cars, and a play rug that can be used with the hot wheels.
Families 4 Families is a private foster care agency that helps find loving families who can help those in the foster system. They have many volunteer opportunities where you can babysit, provide meals, donate a birthday box, and so much more.
Our Monroe team is always finding ways to bring an act of kindness to life, no matter how small. The team enjoyed being able to provide a special birthday to a deserving child and they look forward to partnering with Families 4 Families in the future.

The Northwest LaGrange team always does a great job of celebrating one another and creating an office where all feel welcome! Recently, our office team showed their appreciation for the LaGrange service professionals on Valentine’s Day by having a fun treat for all that day.
Coming together, they set up Valentine’s decorations along with some breakfast and juices for all to enjoy. They also made candy bags for each service professional and had a table set up full of treats. To help spread some Valentine’s cheer, they shared some extra candy bags with their customers.
We are so thankful for our extraordinary teammates who look for opportunities to celebrate each other. We know that supporting our customers well starts with creating a positive, fun teammate experience. We can’t wait to see what ideas they have for upcoming holidays!

National Random Acts of Kindness Day was on February 17th and Northwest was ready to participate. This day is used to celebrate and encourage random acts of kindness. There are many ways to celebrate this day, including paying for a coffee for someone else or sharing words of encouragement. Every day is a good day to honor your community and teammates!
There were many teammates from different Service Centers who came together to fulfill these random acts of kindness. Some of the completed projects included writing encouraging notes to deployed Dobbins Air Force Troops, making care packages for the homeless, and bottling up homemade laundry detergent for Pearson Middle School families in need.
Being involved in the communities our teams live and work in daily is an honor and something our teammates enjoy, not only because of the small acts of kindness created, but also because of the opportunity to create even a small impact in the communities we love. Thank you to all our teammates for looking for ways to continue to be involved and continue making a difference!

Recently, our Monroe Service Center helped make a difference by providing a “birthday box” filled with gifts for a 6-year-old foster child through Families 4 Families. They collected many different dolls, stuffed animals, and a jewelry making kit to help celebrate her on her special day.
Families 4 Families is a private foster care agency that helps find loving families who can help those in the foster system. To help support the families who foster children, they have many volunteer opportunities where you can babysit, provide meals, donate a birthday box, and so much more.
Our Monroe team was so grateful to come together and support this child. While it may seem like a small act of kindness, they enjoyed being able to support a child on her birthday through such a great agency who does so much for those in the system. They look forward to continuing this partnership and volunteering in even more ways with them throughout the year.

Since 2008, Northwest Exterminating has supported Toys for Tots. Each year, all of our service centers come together to donate toys to help bring holiday cheer to children across the Atlanta area. We always enjoy the opportunity to fill up boxes with toys to donate, and our corporate office enjoyed being able to serve as a drop site for another year. This allowed Northwest teammates and those in our community to have another convenient option to bring by donated toys.
This year, Sgt. Rivera came by our office to help us with our toy collection. All these toys came from two events and needed to get to the Marines at the base. They have over 90 events on schedule to attend throughout the year, and at each of them, they help collect toys or raise money for Toys for Tots. We enjoy the extraordinary relationship that we have built with them over the years and love to see the difference that we have been able to make together.
The Atlanta Toys for Tots goal is “to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.” This is part of why our Northwest team enjoys partnering with them every year because our goal is to provide simple, meaningful opportunities for our teammates to create a positive impact in the communities we serve.
We know that the holiday season can be tough on many people. Having the opportunity to give back and support an organization that does so much for those around us is something our team is truly grateful for. We look forward to hearing how many children were able to be impacted this year and to continuing our partnership with Toys for Tots in the upcoming years.
