Northwest Exterminating Celebrating 15 Year Partnership with Atlanta Toys for Tots

Northwest Exterminating Celebrating 15 Year Partnership with Atlanta Toys for Tots

Northwest Exterminating continued  its long-term partnership with Toys for Tots for another holiday season, celebrating its 15th year of being a drop off site for toy collection. It’s an incredible milestone for our team, as the Toys for Tots mission and initiatives are something all of Northwest looks forward to supporting each year!

Since 2008, our teams across the southeast have come together to bring holiday cheer to underprivileged children in the Metro Atlanta area. Our teams look forward to the opportunity to fill many boxes with toys and other gifts every year.  Being able to make a difference is what fuels our extraordinary relationship with Atlanta Toy for Tots and our team enjoys being able to greet a Marine at the door every December.

Toys For Tots

The Atlanta Toys for Tots goal is “to help bring joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.” This is part of why our Northwest team enjoys partnering with them every year because our goal is to provide simple, meaningful opportunities for our teammates to create a positive impact in the communities we serve.

We know the holiday season can be tough on many people and having the opportunity to give back and support an organization that does so much for those around them is something our team is truly grateful for. We look forward to hearing how many children were able to be impacted with this year’s positivity and to continuing our partnership with Toys for Tots in the upcoming years.

Northwest Exterminating Teammates Partner with HomeAid Atlanta and Status: Home for Care Day

Northwest Exterminating Teammates Partner with HomeAid Atlanta and Status: Home for Care Day

This past October, Northwest teammates partnered with HomeAid Atlanta and Status: Home for HomeAid Atlanta Care Day. The combined efforts from all teams resulted in everyone being able to serve over 15 apartments! Together, the teams painted seven and removed carpet from ten apartment units.

HomeAid Atlanta, established in 2001, is a local affiliate of HomeAid and their goal is to create safe housing for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness through construction, community engagement, and education. Every month they make it their mission to host a Care Day and partner with another non-profit organization in the local area. The month of October they partnered with Status: Home.

Good Deed Team Home Aid

Status: Home (formerly Jerusalem House), founded in 1988, is the oldest and largest HIV/AIDS permanent supportive housing provider in Atlanta. Since opening the doors to their first house in 1989, Status: Home has helped countless individuals, including children, by providing a place to call home.

Northwest Good Deed and Builder Support teams have a long-standing relationship with HomeAid Atlanta. For over 10 years, we’ve been working on projects and initiatives together.  We are thankful for the opportunity to work on yet another project together to support the lives of the community members and families who will call the apartments homes. Our team is grateful to be a part of something so meaningful and can’t wait to be of assistance again!

At Northwest, we believe in putting our Customers First and serving our community with a Servant’s Heart. Recently, our Newnan Service Center provided lunch for the Senoia Police Department, our local first responders!

The day was filled with delicious food, friendly conversations, and heartfelt appreciation. It was a wonderful opportunity for our Newnan team to connect with the first responders who serve and protect our community every day. We believe that fostering strong relationships with our local community is not only a way to say thank you but to also create a sense of unity.

Northwest Exterminating’s Homewood Service Center Collects Food Amid National Hunger Action Month

Northwest Exterminating’s Homewood Service Center Collects Food Amid National Hunger Action Month

Driven by a heartfelt desire to make a difference during “National Hunger Action Month,” Northwest’s Homewood, Alabama team came together to collect food for the Community Foodbank of Central Alabama (CFB) throughout the month of September. Homewood teammate Christina G. brought the idea to the table due to her passion for helping those who need it most.

When Christina approached CFB with her plan of gathering donations, she was met with open arms and warm hearts. The CFB team assured the Homewood team that no donation was too small. The response from the Homewood team was extraordinary and they were able to collect over $200 worth of non-perishables.

Homewood Good Deed Team

CFB has been a constant in the Central Alabama area since 1982 and has worked side by side with United Way of Central Alabama and The Greater Birmingham Foundation to stay open. In their early years they focused on feeding those in need of emergency food, but in 2016 they took the bold step to address the root causes of hunger in the area. Since broadening their mission, they have been supplying millions of meals per year to over 230 partner agencies, like shelters, food pantries, and children’s programs in 12 counties across Central Alabama. Learn more about their programs here!

The turnout exceeded Homewood’s expectations and truly reflects the Servant’s Heart initiative we strive for here at Northwest Exterminating. We are so excited to see what Christina and her team do next!
