Canton Team Comes Together to Support Hasty Elementary School and MUST Ministries

This pandemic has shown us now, more than ever, that we need to come together and support the people around us. This is why Northwest keeps our eyes open to serve. While we are not able to gather in large groups right now, we still have the opportunity to think of those around us and do what we can to spread joy and a helping hand. Our Canton office has shown how we are able to make a difference with small acts of kindness.

They are currently in the process of making 25 gallons of laundry detergent for Hasty Elementary School in Canton. The school has partnered with MUST Ministries to help those in their local community. The focus is to provide an essential and everyday product that everyone needs, especially during this pandemic. By making this detergent, we are able to maintain a socially distanced gathering while being able to help out the community and catch up with coworkers.

MUST Ministries helps address the basic needs of individuals, families and children in Cobb and Cherokee county. If  you need assistance or want to volunteer through MUST Ministries, you can visit their website.

The Northwest Dallas Team Donates Books to The Pearl at Dallas

The Northwest Dallas Team Donates Books to The Pearl at Dallas

Our Dallas Service Center has always been active within their local community. Recently, they hosted a book drive where they collected books, crossword puzzles, sudoku puzzles, and word searches to be delivered to The Pearl at Dallas.

The Pearl at Dallas is a local nursing home that specializes in Alzheimer’s, as well as other forms of dementia. They offer world-class, innovative, and personalized services for seniors in an inviting and supportive environment.

We are so grateful for our  Dallas Service Center who came together to collect items to donate, especially when it is for an extraordinary place such as The Pearl at Dallas. It’s opportunities like this that make our teammates at Northwest proud to work for The Mouse.

Northwest Canton Team Supports B.E.A.T.S. Horse Farm

Northwest Canton Team Supports B.E.A.T.S. Horse Farm

At Northwest, we are always trying to make a difference within our community. Recently, our Canton office went out to make a difference as they volunteered their time at Bethany’s Equine and Aquatic Therapy Services. The team came together and helped install  rubber mats into each of the horse stalls. These mats help level the stalls out for the horses, while also making them easier to clean.

Along with our volunteers, there were others helping out at the barn. The BEAT Horse Farm Team was very grateful to the Canton Service Center to take time out of their Saturday to give back. This was just a small way our Northwest team could say thank you to our communities.

Bethany’s Equine and Aquatic Therapy Services is a nonprofit organization that is located at a farm in Canton, GA. They specialize in the use of hippotherapy and aquatic therapy as primary tools of treating children and adults with disabilities. To learn how you can donate, volunteer or sponsor a horse, please visit BEAT’s website.

Newnan Office Donates Easter Baskets to Bridging the Gap

Newnan Office Donates Easter Baskets to Bridging the Gap

At Northwest, we believe in making a difference. This is exactly what our Newnan service center did when they pursued the opportunity to serve their community. They came together and donated items to make Easter baskets. They were able to fully fill 16 baskets while donating all leftover items to be used in other baskets. These baskets included books, markers, crayons, coloring books, sticker books, eggs filled with candy, stuffed bunnies, bunny ears, and so much more.

They donated these baskets to Bridging the Gap, a nonprofit organization that provides food, clothing, and household goods to those struggling in their community. They have recently been a donation site to help those suffering from the tornado that hit their town. For Easter, Bridging the Gap partnered with local churches to come together and make sure that these children were still able to celebrate Easter.

While this past year has been tough for everyone, our Newnan team was so happy to help those in their community and continue the partnership created with Bridging the Gap. If you would like to learn more about how you can help, please visit Bridging the Gap’s website.

Savannah Children’s Hospital Gifted Easter Baskets from Northwest Exterminating

Savannah Children’s Hospital Gifted Easter Baskets from Northwest Exterminating

The Northwest Savannah service center has a long-standing partnership with the Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah. The partnership has grown over the years, allowing the team to celebrate multiple holidays with the staff and families.

The Savannah team sent out the call to Northwest’s 35+ service centers to create and donate Easter baskets for the children at the hospital. The original request was for 60 Easter baskets to be donated to each child to spread some Spring cheer. The request was overwhelmingly met, and the team was able to drop off 92 baskets filled with window clings, crayons and colored pencils, coloring books, small dolls and action figures, and other springtime treats. The team did not donate candy at the hospitals request.

The Northwest team did not want to forget to honor the nursing staff of the Hospital who goes above and beyond every day. Candy and additional treats were donated to the staff as a continued thank you!

It is truly a blessing to be able to partner with the Savannah Children’s Hospital multiple times each year and bring even a small bit of joy into the lives of these children and families. The Savannah team is so thankful to be able to have the opportunity to serve their local community this way, and they are looking forward to the other events and holidays in 2021.
