Northwest’s Newnan team has continued to look for ways to support our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though our ways of serving others look different during these times, the Newnan Family has found creative ways to help community organizations they work closely with throughout the year.
In August, the Newnan team put together a small package for each girl in the Angel House. The gift included a personal journal, letter from the team, coloring pages of their favorite animal or sports team, poems with writing prompts, and one dinner conversation starter! Along with each personal gift, the team gifted the Freedom Writers movie and a gift card to get ice cream party supplies to enjoy while watching the movie!
This creative idea was put together by the team to support and honor the young women of Angels House. Angels House provides a safe, nurturing home for teen girls in crisis. Though the team was not able to hand deliver the gift, they were able to leave it on the doorstep to respect the COVID-19 boundaries.
The team has enjoyed creating a relationship with the Angel House and are always looking for new things they can do with the organization. The girls were so grateful for the small gift and to everyone who takes time to be part of their lives! The Newnan team plans to continue to volunteer and donate to the Angel House. We are thankful for our Newnan’s team desire to help those around them!

Our Newnan team is at it again with finding small, impactful ways to make a difference in Coweta county. While the team is currently practicing social distancing, they were able to find ways to help their community through the local Little Free Library and Newnan Coweta Humane Society.
A Newnan teammate, Angela C., donated the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series to the local Little Free Library. The Little Free Library is a place where people in the community can give books so others who may not be able to afford books can come and pick out ones to read. Angela’s son helped her with the donation, as he wanted to participate. They chose the books they wanted to donate on Internal Kids Book Day.
The Newnan team has also been very active with the Newnan Coweta Humane Society (NCHS), as helping the animals in their community was part of their 2020 goals. A Newnan teammate recently fostered Liberty, a dog that was found as a stray before being brought in by the NCHS. Liberty started off nervous, but over the last month, she has warmed up to the family and is showing more of her personality. The teammate is teaching her different commands and is excited for Liberty to find her forever home with a loving family.
Every month, it seems that the Newnan team finds more ways to give back to the community that they live and work in. The team plans to continue to look for ways to serve those around them and work with their partners to help however they can. We are thankful for the example that our Newnan team sets every day.
Our Newnan team is off to an incredible start in 2020! Looking inward to the team’s interests and passions has allowed them to see new opportunities to help their communities.
One goal the team has for the year is to volunteer with the local animal shelter and humane society more often. Some of the teammates spent their Sunday at the NCHS Orientation learning about the organization’s mission and how they can help serve the animals and adoptive families throughout the year. The team will be attending dog training in March, and they’re looking forward to helping with adoption days, clean up, and caring for the animals.
The team has also continued their focus on helping local organizations and bringing smiles to those in their community. They spent a few hours one Saturday sorting through donations at the Coweta Pregnancy Service, a local organization that supports women and families in the area. They also stopped by the Ansley Park Health and Rehabilitation Center to spend some time with the residents and wish them a happy Valentine’s Day! “One resident’s card had a typewriter on the front and that reminded him of one his dad used to have! He said we couldn’t understand how much that meant to him, and the great memories it brought back. This event not only touched the hearts of the residents but our team as well,” said Good Deed Team Ambassador, Angela C.
It truly has been an extraordinary February for the teammates of our Newnan office. They are a great example of a team that wants to Make a Difference in all they do. It is incredible to see teammates not only enjoy working together but also serving the community together. We are excited to see the upcoming projects and volunteering the Newnan team is up to next.
We are proud to announce our 2019 Northwest Good Deed Ambassador of the Year, Brittney Bonsignore. Since joining the Northwest team, Brittney has not only embraced the Northwest Way, but she has applied action to it and made a tremendous impact on her Northwest teammates and surrounding community.
With laser focus, a servant’s heart, and a people-first mentality, Brittney has rallied her Newnan teammates for several Good Deed events in the Newnan area. She fostered countless relationships with organizations, like Bridging the Gap, and elementary schools, and she has increased outreach to Northwest customers. With her leadership, Newnan started a Customer Appreciation day that supports Northwest customers that may have fallen on hard times.
Brittney has continuously shared innovative, fresh ideas with her fellow Good Deed ambassadors, all while quietly leading with humility and kindness. One interaction with her and you are left knowing that she is filled with kindness, respect, and grace. We are grateful to have such an extraordinary teammate on our team who not only has an amazing heart for people but also inspires us each to aim higher every day.
