Northwest Exterminating’s LaGrange Service Center is grateful to have recently received the 2021 Best of Troup County Award. This honor was received thanks to the votes of Troup County residents, as each year, the LaGrange Daily News asks the community to vote for winners in several categories. This is the second year in a row that our LaGrange service center has won this honor.
While Northwest Exterminating has been creating healthier living and working environments since 1951, we have been serving the LaGrange, GA area for the past 11 years. We have an extraordinary team dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences and Customers for Life throughout Troup County and beyond. The LaGrange team also actively works to create extraordinary experiences within their community through local resource and time donations to organizations like Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Twin Cedars.
Our LaGrange Service Center and the entire Northwest Family is grateful to not only be considered for this award again but to have been chosen by the community we have the honor to live and work in for the second year. Thanks for trusting the Mouse, Troup County.
Something that all of Northwest believes is that honoring our customers begins with honoring our teammates. Valued people desire to value others, so teams are always stepping in to support their teammates through hard times. This is exactly what our LaGrange team did as a local teammate got ready for surgery in early April.
The LaGrange team got together to purchase and donate items to the family while the teammate underwent and recovered from surgery. They made food and purchased personal items and a pizza gift card for the family to use! The team’s goal was to ensure the teammate was comfortable throughout their recovery and the family could have a few easy dinners for one less thing to worry about.
When we think of supporting our community, we often immediately think of the amazing non-profits, community organizers, and businesses making a difference. While Northwest appreciates and supports many of these, it’s always incredible to recognize that pouring into others begins with pouring into our team. We are thankful for the family-like culture that the LaGrange team has fostered!
The Northwest LaGrange office is always up to something! Whether donating meals to our front-line health care workers, making bunk beds for local families in need, or celebrating our First Responders with a lunch in their honor, you can always count on the LaGrange team to have their eyes open for opportunities to serve the community they get to live and work in daily.
In 2021, the team began talking with the Assistant Director and Director of a local Children’s Advocacy Center – Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services. After learning more about what the center does within the community and talking with the team, the LaGrange Service Center set out to support the amazing efforts and mission of Twin Cedars.
Beginning in March, the team created 30 Easter Bags to deliver to the Care of Circle facility within Twin Cedars. Care of Circle distributed the bags amongst young children in the program. The children received a coloring page, candy, eggs, snacks, puzzles, stamps, windmills, crayons, and many other treats. The LaGrange team was so excited to be able to donate these items prior to the Easter holiday for the children to enjoy.
The local LaGrange team already has another event on the calendar with Twin Cedars in April. The team loves being able to support organizations aiming to make such a difference in our local communities and are always honored to be a small part in helping these efforts or events. Thank you for the way you serve, LaGrange!
Twin Cedars is a local community organization based on education, therapy, family, and community for babies, children, young adults, and families. They work to make a difference in the life of local children. If you would be interested in supporting Twin Cedars, visit their website.
The LaGrange team is always up to something within their community. Whether it’s a Boston Butt Drive or building bunk beds, the team enjoys being a part of the community they have the opportunity to work and live within.
The LaGrange office services a local Women’s Shelter. While providing service, they struck up a conversation with the shelter’s director who mentioned they were having a hard time keeping toilet paper in stock and were in need of it for the shelter. The LaGrange office immediately took action and ordered a few boxes of toilet paper as a donation.
Though a small act of kindness, it’s the opportunities like this that make every teammate at Northwest proud to work for the Mouse. Teammates who want to support not only their customers but also their communities and are actively looking for opportunities to do so. Thank you, LaGrange team, for keeping your eyes open to ways to help!
Seeing organizations, businesses, and the community come together to help one another has been especially inspiring during these difficult times. The team in LaGrange wanted to say thank you to the men and women who are caring for others and showing up every day to make a difference in their communities. The team donated over 50 meals to the Emergency Department team. The team’s hope was to let the staff know how appreciated they were, especially during this challenging time.
The team is also focusing their efforts in the community to the Salvation Army, community partners, and customer relationship requests throughout 2020. With the recent shift in our communities due to COVID-19, Northwest is looking for more ways to help through donations and volunteer time.
