The Brown-banded Cockroach is not frequently encountered.

Identification

• Nymph-like shape, but possesses the wings of an adult
• Light tan and with two lighter transverse bands running across the base of the wings and the abdomen
• 1/2 to 5/8 inches

Environment

• Does not require a close association with moisture and humidity like most common cockroach pests
• May be found throughout a house, usually hiding behind pictures and wall hangings

Threats

• Frequently transported in furniture
